Huehuetenango is a world famous city in western Guatemala known for its coffee. The unique mountainous climate provides farms with many different elevations, often reaching well above 2,000 meters.
Due to these higher elevations, the coffee plant develops slower in the denser air bringing out a rich flavor. Our Huehue is roasted as a Viennese, dropped at 443^C, right at the beginning of the second crack.
The importance of this part of the roast brings out the unique flavors of the origin, minimizes its acidity contents, and increases body. Flavors you’ll find in this coffee are - Dark Chocolate, Cinnamon, and Orange.
Brewing it as an espresso will give you more of a chocolaty-herbal taste that is well balanced.
Online orders will be received through the week. We roast on Thursdays and ship on Friday.
